Our vision is to remind everyone that we should not judge how God decided to introduce us to the world. He created everyone in His image (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-14). We believe in the importance of compassion, kindness, and respect that God extends to everyone no matter what their background or belief. God loves those that hate Him just as much as those that love Him. We believe that God through Compassion Outfitter has the power to tear down walls, make a stand, bring people together and through His love heal the divisions that so often tear us apart.
Jesus said, "Unless you acquire the heart of a child, you will not enter the Kingdom of God" (Matthew 18:13). We are born into this world to love! Something happens along the way in life's journey and people become judgemental and divisive in their thinking. This is not of God. Whatever, we do, it is because Christ's love controls us.

Something happens along the way in life's journey and people become judgemental and divisive in their thinking. This is not of God. Whatever, we do, it is because Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live. He died for everyone so that those who receive their new life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead they will live to please Christ, who died and raised them. So we stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks of them. (2 Corinthians 5: 14-16)
At Compassion Outfitter, we recognize the divisiveness and racism that exists throughout the world today. Jesus gave us two commandments (Matthew 22:37-39):

2) Love others
We are failing both of these commandments. Racism implies that at some point in time in the human development process, God made a mistake. We are here to re

1) Love God
2) Love others
We are failing both of these commandments. Racism implies that at some point in time in the human development process, God made a mistake. We are here to remind everyone that God doesn't make mistakes and that HE died for ours (Deuteronomy 32:4, Romans 3:23-24).
These little boys can teach us a valuable lesson if just watch and listen. This is the way God wants us to run to Him and each other. We are born into this world to love...not hate! We need to capture this moment from childhood and carry it with us throughout our adult life. The love, admiration, and respect between these two children is God's blueprint for our lives.
There were so many things that highlighted this performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The love, admiration, and respect between Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs was extra special and brought many to tears. Without them knowing it, they created a pattern for a better world by practicing what the children showed us above. This is the heart of a child that God wants from all of us. Their performance represented two different worlds coming together that “society” says, shouldn’t to showcase an iconic tune and let the world see that love and respect is THE answer and divisiveness, racism, and hate are NOT. This is a pattern for all of us to live by. Faith, Hope, and Love and the greatest of these is Love. Love conquers all!
1 Corinthians 13:13
Matthew 22:37-39
In 2016, after my mom and dad passed away within 12 months of one another I received a wonderful message from a childhood friend that I played football with throughout my life. He said that the one thing that he admired most about my parents is that they never once saw color and that they opened up their home to him without hesitation and treated him like everyone else. My heart filled with pride in this moment. Everyone they encountered they treated with love and respect. The Bible speaks of generational sin in Exodus 20:5 regarding sin that is passed down from generation to generation. My mom and dad were the cycle breakers in our family and said no more which made my life very easy in this area. Jesus is the bondage breaker and my parents were unapologetic followers of Jesus Christ.
In early September, I visited New York City. I had a dinner meeting with a prominent physician and decided to walk to the dinner which was a lot further than I originally thought. I walked through Times Square and as I reached the fringe part where the lights aren’t so bright I had a gentleman approach me to buy his CD. I said sure and as I reached into my pocket six more guys approached me and three asked me to buy theirs. I purchased three CDs and asked for a moment of their time. The first gentleman said to me “…thanks for not being afraid of a black man.” I said I am not afraid we are all children of God. I added, “…here is why I hate and despise racism - people that are racist are saying that at some point in the human development process God made a mistake…God doesn’t make mistakes...He sent His son Jesus Christ to die for ours...God created all of us in the image of Him...ALL OF US!” One gentleman said “…I never thought of it like that before.” We had a discussion about Christ for 20 min. At the end of our talk, seven guys gave me a hug and thanked me for taking the time to talk with them and told me that they loved me and I reciprocated. There was a stoic cop watching and listening from a distance. At the end, he smiled and said to me, "...well there is something I have never seen before." Love is a gift from God and conquers all! All forms of racism, antisemitism, etc. have no place in our world. This is not of God. He created every one of us in His image (Genesis 1:27). He is the one that can overcome the lies of this world which seems more divisive than ever.
This story is a very difficult one to tell given the sensitivity and divisive nature surrounding this however, this is the story that forced me to do something. My wife and I were attending an NFL game and the person next to me pointed out a guy wearing a jersey from the other team and said, "...I like him because he's white." Shocked by his statement I forcefully asked, "...what do you mean?" He clarified by admitting that he cheers for the white athletes. I became highly agitated by the level of stupidity in his statements. I later found out that he is the son of a pastor and identifies as a "Christian" which made it 1,000X worse for me. At this point God spoke to me and said you can get mad or take a stand and do something about it. My wife and I discussed Compassion Outfitter at that time using God's position and His voice to illustrate His intolerance for this rhetoric. God doesn't make mistakes. He created All of Us in His image. God decided how we were to be introduced to the world. Jesus died for All so that we All might live with Him when this life is through. None of us are worthy of Heaven however, through the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, we are - if we just believe in Him. After this day, I quit saying that I am a "Christian" and started saying that "I am a follower of Jesus Christ" instead...and created an apparel line that makes a bold statement against racism. I will close with this, I have found that many who use the word "Christian" don't know Christ, what He stood for, or what He's about. There has been a departure from Christ within that word. Compassion Outfitter is a wake-up call for the world that it needs to change, hold themselves and others accountable in this area and be a light for the world and a true follower of Jesus Christ and put an end to the ridiculous racist rhetoric that is so prevalent today. God said that we must be equally yolked (inside) - He said nothing about being equally shelled (outside)!
